This school is co-organised by UNISER and FISV (Italian Federation of Life Sciences) held in beautiful Pistoia, in Tuscany, and has the goal of introducing biomedical students and post-docs to the concepts of ethics, epistemology, methodology, and philosophy of science, through an intensive high-level training.

In the framework of the H2020 European CONCERT project, a short course of two weeks duration on "Radiation-induced effects with particular emphasis on genetics, development, teratology, cognition as well as space-related health issues" is organized by the Academy of Nuclear Science and Technology of the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre.

Numerosi studi scientifici hanno evidenziato come negli ultimi 50 anni la popolazione maschile dei paesi industrializzati è soggetta ad un progressivo declino del numero medio degli spermatozoi. Questa evidenza è stata collegata all’azione negativa esercitata da fattori ambientali e da stili di vita sul normale sviluppo dell’apparato riproduttivo maschile già a partire dalla vita fetale per continuare in quella adulta.
