Abstract | This paper demonstrates the realization of an easy to manufacture graphene device with a low-cost and solvent-free procedure. Few layer graphene in the form of nanoplatelets is obtained from thermal expansion of intercalated graphite, followed by sonication. The graphene is then used to create an electrical contact between two copper electrodes in a microstrip-like circuit. The contact is self-assembled in a bottom-up procedure assisted by an external electrical field. The measured electrical resistance shows a satisfactory stability, thus demonstrating the reproducibility of the graphene device and the reliability of the fabrication process. © 2015 IEEE. |
