PROVIDE :“Green” innovation processes for new products marketed “organic”
On the 25th of January, 2021, PROVIDE project kicked off virtually, bringing together 18 representatives of the partner organizations and 5 representatives from stakeholders. Five scientific partners and an association of Operators in Organic Farming are participating in a new ambitious research project named PROVIDE - “Protein and biomolecules sources for nutritional security and biodiversity of bakery products in a circular food system”

Five scientific partners and an association of Operators in Organic Farming are participating in a new ambitious research project named PROVIDE - “Protein and biomolecules sources for nutritional security and biodiversity of bakery products in a circular food system”
On the 25th of January, 2021, PROVIDE project kicked off virtually, bringing together 18 representatives of the partner organizations and 5 representatives from stakeholders. Five scientific partners and an association of Operators in Organic Farming are participating in a new ambitious research project named PROVIDE - “Protein and biomolecules sources for nutritional security and biodiversity of bakery products in a circular food system” coordinated by Technical University of Munich and funded by the European research program Era-Nets Susfood2/Core Organic, which focuses on valorisation of food transformation industry by products for use in bakery production. PROVIDE aims to promote circularity in the agrifood systems, fostering the sustainability of production and consumption and supporting the valorisation of otherwise wasted by-products, thus reducing food losses significantly. This will be based on “green” innovation processes, which will use also material from organic products and therefore the resulting new products can be marketed “organic”. The PROVIDE project will run for three years, also includes: Italian National Agency for new Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA, Italy); National Institute of Research & Development for Food Bioresources (IBA Bucharest, Romania); Chouaib Doukkali University (CDU, Morocco); Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU, Norway); Romanian Association of Operators in Organic Farming (Bio-Romania, Romania).
