Abstract | In this paper an electrochemical biosensor for on-line determination of glucose produced by the enzymatic hydrolysis of cellobiose (a product of cellulose hydrolysis) has been developed. A hydrogen peroxide sensor coupled with the enzyme glucose oxidase (GOD) was used. The assembly of this glucose sensor, useful for aqueous solutions with high concentration of cellobiose, required a purified enzyme because commercial preparations of glucose oxidase have some impurities like amylase, maltase, invertase, and galactose oxidase. |
