Abstract | The characterization of two classes of polymer electrolytes and of olivine type lithium iron phosphate electrodes was discussed. The first class of electrolytes were found profitable for batteries operating in the range of 70°C to 100°C, while the gel type membranes were seen to have high conductivity over a wide temperature range. The application of these advanced electrolyte and electrode materials in lithium polymer batteries was also discussed. |
