National and International Networks

ENEA promotes and participates in networks and platforms connected with the circular economy at an international and national level.

ECESP

ENEA represents Italy in the Leadership Groups of the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ECESP) − a joint initiative by the European Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee for the dissemination of knowledge, multi-stakeholder dialogue and good practices.

ICESP

ENEA manages and coordinates the Italian Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ICESP) – a national forum dedicated to initiatives, experiences, criticalities and best practices that Italy aims to represent at the European level. At present, there are over 140 members and 200 participants (institutions, enterprises and public administration players).

SUN

ENEA promotes and coordinates the Symbiosis Users Network (SUN), a national network for operators aimed at applying industrial symbiosis and ensuring systemic development of eco-innovative models.

ECERA: The European Circular Economy Research Alliance

ENEA is part of the network of research organisations aiming to bolster and integrate scientific knowledge and interdisciplinary experience in the circular economy - other members are CEA (FR), IETU (PL), IVL (SE), SINTEF (NO), TECNALIA (ES), TNO (NL), VITO (BE), VTT (FI), Wuppertal Inst. (DE).

National Phosphorus Platform

The Ministry of the Environment charged ENEA with the task of coordinating the National Phosphorus Platform, which aims to ensure national self-sufficiency for this strategic raw material, as well as coordination with European policies.

CICERONE: Closing the Loop on Circular Economy Programming & Funding

ENEA is the scientific coordinator of the Horizon Project “CICERONE” and coordinates the elaboration of the European Strategic Agenda to fund research and innovation in the circular economy sector

UNI

ENEA chairs and participates in the activities of the expert committee, technical commission UNI CT057 “circular economy”. It heads the Italian delegation for the purposes of the corresponding tasks undertaken by the ISO/TC323 "Circular Economy" Committee. The aim of these bodies is to set an ISO international technical standard by 2023.
